Miercurea Ciuc(Romanian:[ˈmjerkure̯aˈtʃjuk]ⓘ; Hungarian: Csíkszereda[ˈt͡ʃiːksɛrɛdɒ]ⓘ; German: Szeklerburg) is the county seat of Harghita County, Romania. It lies in the Székely Land, a mainly Hungarian-speaking ethno-cultural region in eastern Transylvania, and is situated in the Olt Rivervalley.
