Open Google Maps. Search for a place or click a place marker on the map. Select the photo with a Street View icon . When you’re done, at the top right, click Close . Use Pegman. Open Google Maps. In the bottom right, click Pegman . Drag Pegman to the area you want to explore.
To explore in Street View: drag your finger on the screen or tap the compass. To move: tap the arrows or double-tap the image in the direction you want to go. For a wider view and change to landscape mode: turn your device sideways. To zoom in: pinch open on the screen. To zoom out: pinch closed on the screen.
Find street-level details on your map. When you explore an area in Maps where street-level details are available, zoom in on your map to find: Accurately scaled road widths. Pathways and stairs in parks. Sidewalks. Crosswalks. Medians and pedestrian islands. Some map areas with street-level details might have uneven borders.
