The Thunderstore Mod manager sadly only works on Windows. Luckily It isn't the only mod manager. There is also the (open source) mod manager r2modman. It works great on Linux and since it has a Appimage, it can easily be installed on the Steam deck as well. It was originally intended for risk of rain, but works with rounds as well.

I was able to fix it. I had to change the directory thunderstore uses to open lethal company. Had to go under steam library, common, lethal company and then the game itself. After that i opened with the mods. If you have a similar problem, this might fix it. You change directory under settings in thunder store when in lethal company profile.
ThunderStore is easy, configures everything for you, resolves dependencies and notifies you of updates for mods that you then can install if so desired. And it has the store included (as the name implies) so you can browse through mods to your hearts content. And you can run the game vanilla if that is your intent.
Thunderstore is a platform similar to Nexus. I have used it for several games and there have never been any problems, some of them years ago. Of course it is possible that some black sheep upload a mod with malware, as Thunderstore does not check the mods as far as I know. So there is always a risk.

no idea, but using r2modman instead of knockoff mod software would probably be a start. this stuff happens even with r2modman as well. having this same problem. installed mods using r2modman, press start modded and it keeps launching vanilla. #4. GamingWithSilvertail Dec 14, 2023 @ 6:41am.
Thunderstore wont use downloaded mods in lethal company. How can I get it working? delete all that mod manager bs. download bepinex, put files and bepinex folder (not bepinexsomething folder) into the root of the game's folder, launch the game, make sure that terminal window pops up, quit the game and put dll files from mod archives into ...
