Sep 28, 2010. #6. Height is easy enough, just take an image of a person, and scale it next to a reference figure to see how they might look. Halfling (4 ft) next to a human (6 ft) next to a giant (25 ft) Weight is trickier, as it's generally meaningless (at 6'0" - 280 lb I could be fat or a body builder, very different appearances).
When you make a long jump, you cover a number of feet up to your Strength score if you move at least 10 feet on foot before the jump. This rule assumes that the height of your jump doesn't matter, such as jumping across a stream. No ability check, no dice rolls, no feats or proficiency bonuses or anything. Distance = Strength score.

1 - Your level of heat over 4-5' of height is slightly amusing to me. 2 - These are the giants from D&D at least as far back as 1995, so... shrug YMMV but these are almost the exact same heights as giants from D&D 24 years ago. EDIT - I just went and checked 3.x stats. Looks like they shaved 4-6' off giant heights in the move from 2e to 3.x.
As a player, I love that they took out GM things from the Player Core. This keeps players from metagaming and looking at things like hazards and monsters for stats. The downside of splitting the GM Core from the Player Core is the loss of treasures and alchemical items from the book the players are using. This isn’t the worst thing in the ...
Fralex said: I wish the MM told us the weights of the monsters. I have no idea how to estimate anything related to weight. Basically for standard humanoids its (HT x 0.08898) x (HT x 0.08898) x HT X 0.00136 X C. Where HT is height in inches, and C is a constant based upon the material it is made of. For flesh C = 47.

When it switches to entries on specific dragons, it includes facts like favorite food, habitat, favorite treasure, and natural enemies in addition to maximum wingspan, breath weapon, height, and weight. Lair and combat information round it out. The art is good with some magnificent images of adult dragons.
Oct 21, 2009. #1. The party in my game just became members of a powerful military order, and I'm working on some benefits they derive from that membership. One of the benefits I'm considering is an item would be similar to the 3e spell Word Of Recall. Basically, a consumable item that teleports the user (and all allies, including corpses, in ...
