So, we are rebuilding my mom's credit step by step, she have a few baby cards (Self, TAZ and CreditOne amex). So far, I'm really happy with TAZ! She got a preapproval notice in the mail 6-7 months ago for $350, but the card wasn't looking so bad ($29 annual fees and apr in the 20) but that was it.

Targets on credit cards are only needed if you have an outstanding balance you’re trying to reduce, like a 0% balance transfer or if you’re ’on the credit card float’. If you’ve checked your current balance on the credit card and it is only $59.53 then you can move the spare money. But reconcile your account first.

I've had bank accounts and credit cards from many banks over the last 30 years. I only joined Comm bank CBA in May 2023 for the 1st time to get a zero foreign fee credit card. It's been the worst experience I've ever had with a bank. When overseas you couldn't message them via the app for account and credit card questions.
