Hi, I’m trying to download WoW on a new pc but the download speed is extremely slow. I tried everything that was suggested by blizzard support, as well as reinstalling battlenet, and disabling my antivirus and firewall, but nothing seems to work. I have the bandwidth box unchecked too. Any help would be appreciated.

In the blizzard desktop app go to settings > downloads and make sure that the bandwidth limit for “latest updates” isn’t checked, if it is then uncheck the box. Patches aren’t too bad on my 18Mbps DSL, but it takes several hours to download the whole game. Yeah about 20 on a decent internet speed. I have had a friend to whom it took a day and a bit, though he used an older slowe connection. All the boomers about to tell you about the 4 disc special all day download in 2007.
Trying to reinstall WoW and neither that nor the Battle.net will download, the exe just stops at around 61% and then says “Network Error”. I tried different Browesers and reinstalling Chrome but nothing. Any suggestions?

You can compress files. Right click on your World of Warcraft folder, properties, click Advanced. Check the “Compress contents to save disk space”. Be patient as it take some times to take effects. If you’re using SSD, it shouldn’t slow down your load time too much. This is a bit off-topic,
