Hi everyone! I wanted to share with you all, a way to source hardware CAD files from McMaster Carr which should save you a lot of design time and make your models look great! Even if you are not interested in purchasing from them, you can at least grab the CAD files for your work and cross reference the part #'s with your favorite store. First lets start off by going to McMASTER-CARR. Once you ...

S3d doesn’t work with a einstart. I think it maybe because a einstart doesn’t use g-code but it’s own variation. Software for the einstart is on the sd card but it is also downloadable from the shinning-3d site. You need to use that software to get the machine up and running. 5. Existing 3D print files in much smaller final printed sizes

    forums.pinshape.com/t/existing-3d-print-files-in-much-smaller-final-printed...

I’m going from zero knowledge and experience here, so please bear with me. I have in mind a project that will need several existing 3D print files to be reduced in size. For example, let’s say that I have a design for a flowery rosette that is 6" in diameter, but I’d like it printed out at 1.25" in diameter. I know I’m going to lose some detail, and that there will be differences in ...

Hi all. I’ve been doing 2D CAD for a long time, started using 123D a few years ago. Still improving my printer. I’ve downloaded a T-rex skull file (STL) that I’d like to print for my son. Rather than do a 10(+?) hour print, I’d like to break the model into smaller pieces and do multiple prints. After saving the file as a .123dx I tried modifying the model but couldn’t. Any ...

I just joined a few days ago to try and print a bracelet for my daughter. It’s the one design she has liked and I can’t download it because of the purchase problem. It renders the site virtually useless to me.

    forums.pinshape.com/t/whats-causing-these-burn-marks/669

Going from one of those filaments to something that needs a higher temp to print without purging the previous material completely could cause those burn marks. At a temp over 210 C one is essentially burning the previous filament that is stuck in the extruder and nozzle and eventually it just leaks out randomly in blotches. 1 Like.

The collections feature certainly works, but doesn’t have many advanced features. If you use it for a while, we’d love to hear some feedback on what you like/dislike about it. Feel free to post some thoughts in the Feature Request section of this forum. We’d really appreciate your thoughts! Nick
