So I wanted to watch disney + today, but the app wouldn't start. I tried to reinstall it, but it still wouldn't start, so i researched a bit and it turns out that it needs edge to run properly. However, I had edge uninstalled on my PC because I don't use it. I then tried to install it again, which worked, but I was unable to open it.
Apparently Disney has majority ownership over it now. Over four years ago. So they decided to implement a "seamless login experience" across their services, like Disney+ and Hulu, but without telling any customers of Disney+, Hulu, or the rest of the Internet.
It's not just you!!! And, the whole stream will lock up often when I hit the "rewind 10 seconds" button. I have to refresh the whole webpage, and it doesn't always go straight back to the episode I was watching, but might go to the overall page for the whole series, and once I was even logged out completely after just trying to refresh.
@tb542 Hulu has been part of the Disney Family of networks for some time now. They have been associated with Disney for a number of years. To make it easier for those who have multiple Disney Family networks, Disney Plus, Hulu, ESPN +, etc. have gone to a common login. You do not have to subscribe to Disney Plus to login to Hulu.
I subscribed through Disney plus and log in my username and password on roku Disney plus, roku always asked me to resubscribe again and charge me again. Unless this issue is solved, Roku is a worse device on my list.
