Is other map making software much faster than creating maps in fantasy grounds unity? I usually dont care that much about getting the smaller detail right if that has anything to say. I have mostly placed tiles from tiles sets until now, but I have started exploring the possibilities unity offers in map making.
Nor can you merge layers. You expend or contract folders by clicking on the icon to the left of the folder. I didn't intend on merging anything really, just trying to open all the folders present in the right hand panel with one click, instead of clicking on the arrow next to each individual folder one by one.
Hi! I've been using Fantasy Grounds Unity ultimate just over a week. I have watched hours of tutorial videos, but I couldn't find answer to my problem in map making. Hopefully here are some more experienced users that can share their knowledge. Here's the problem: I'm using background map/image layout and I create maps over it.
In FGU, this just confuses things; because FGU treats all files in "images/", "portraits/", and "tokens/" as their respective graphics types. If you tried to add one of these to a map in FGU in its current implementation, it would add as a token, not as a tile layer. They're also set up as image records; but stored in the tokens directory.

The quickest way to rip a map or graphic from a PDF is to use some sort of screen capture software. SNIPPING TOOL, which comes with windows, is good enough, though Greenshot is delightful and free. Size the PDF to fit; if the orientation is wrong, just rotate it inside your PDF viewer - then take the screen shot.
