Prior to 3rd Quicken to Wells Fargo connection attempt, I jumped thru every validation hoop Wells put up, including going to an ATM to confirm my cell# & pin. As I write, I have no problem reaching my Accounts using the Bank's web site or Mobil App using old ID/New Pass/old Pin and they all work fine. But not with Quicken.
March 2023 edited April 2023. It seems from yesterday to today Wells Fargo bank accounts are no longer updating in Quicken on Update Feature. Also I seem to also lost the ability to pay my bills as the “pay” function in “Check #” is completely gone (it was there yesterday and I used it.) Note I am using “Bank Bill Pay”.

I updated on the Wells Fargo site and I put in the new credentials when Quicken asks to connect to my accounts with Wells Fargo; I have deactivated all my Wells Fargo accounts in Quicken and have attempted to reactivate them. Also, I called Wells Fargo, and one must have an authorized phone number, that can receive a text (I am guessing for Multi-Factor Authentication). Since I only have a mortgage with Wells Fargo, I can't set that up myself. I had to have the Wells Fargo Quicken Support rep do it, and she said it would take 3 business days.
December 2023. Wells Fargo is transitioning to a new method of providing data to applications like Quicken. Going forward, you'll use a bank-hosted sign-in form to authorize downloads. The overall process for adding accounts and downloading is the same, but the screen you use to sign in to Wells Fargo in Quicken Classic will look different.
Open Quicken. This week download information has changed such that it no longer include payee information. Where it use to include payee name, which Quicken used to populate the Payee register fields, the download now contains payee name of "'" (all 3 symbols) for ALL payee names. This is true for all Wells Fargo Web Connect downloads for all accounts.
