So I downloaded the new EA desktop app when EA Play came to gamepass yesterday and I tried downloading NFS Heat. I was surprised to see the download speed was going from 400kb/s to 900kb/s. I checked on every other launcher like Epic Games, Steam and even on the xbox app/microsoft store and I was getting 6-10mb/s download speeds on those.

Title. I just renewed my Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership, but whenever I try to download a game via EA Play, it tells me I still need to buy an EA Play membership. If I try to purchase an EA Play membership, it tells me that the subscription is not available.
Hey @SHDW_Saint I was mistaken, you can play games you own on EA offline but not EA Play. If you wish to use EA Play games through Game Pass then you will need to be online. If you have EA Play through the EA App or Origin then you can play it on both. Also, as the app is still in Beta changes are being made all the time. Darko

For EA Play members on PC, you will want to log into your EA profile at EA.com; Click on the EA Play tab and you will see your Membership Information . You will also have an Xbox or PlayStation listed if you have a Game Pass subscription; If you are not seeing the membership, c lick on the Order History tab on the left (instructions here)

The EA desktop app isn't showing some of my games, and if I navigate to them in the browser, it shows that I need to buy them again. If I navigate to the customer portal on the website it still shows them as being owned by my account. How do I get them to be restored so that I can play them again? Dragon Age 2. The most recent version of the EA app is 12.80.0.5337, which contains the fix. It can take some time for the update to reach all players, but it shouldn't take longer than 24h-48h. Alternatively, you can run the EA Updater program (that is installed on your PC when you install the EA app) to force-download the new EA app version.
