I have found an alternative for creating a straight line within snip tool if this is all you require. if you hold down the SHIFT key as you create the line it will snap at 45 degree increments. This also applies for the arrow function, the rectangle will retain a square aspect ratio when shift is held. I hope this helps!

Let me try to help you. Click on the Windows icon - very bottom/left side of the screen. Type "snipping tool" in the box - up should then come an answer - Desktop application, so click on that. I'm not sure if Win 7 automatically gives you the choice so look for 'Mode' - that'll give you four options to choose from. Hoping this works for you.

Open PowerShell (Admin) Copy and paste the command to uninstall Snip and Sketch app. get-appxpackage *Microsoft.ScreenSketch* | remove-appxpackage. After that, proceed to reinstall Snipping tool app.
