    Oct 19, 2023. #1. i like safari 17 but without adblockers its not efficient. I testet several free adblockers but no extension is so good like ublock origin on firefox. Most of the blockers cannot block ads on youtube. And the greatest problem is that they can´t erase most of the ad frames. Anybody found a free extension to solve this problems?

    No it does not. I use Vinegar, a Safari extension. Works on macOS, iOS and iPadOS. Best $2 I've spent. Vinegar - Tube Cleaner. Vinegar is a Safari extension that replaces the YouTube player with a minimal HTML video tag. It removes ads, restores picture-in-picture, and keeps videos playing in the background.

    Like uBlock Origin, an adblocking web browser extension, one 'subscribes' to different block lists (or not), and can add your own blacklisted or whitelisted domains. There is a feature request to handle inheritance problems (like whitelisting EvilGnome..pro but wanting to blacklist a subdomain of it like TrustMeBro.EvilGnome..pro)

    i haven’t seen an internet ad in over 10 years and hopefully never will. thanks ublock origin on desktop and adguard/vpn blocker in ios 🫡 to those saying ad blockers are causing more ads….get an ad blocker

    Tried them all, Adguard is the only one that blocks everything consistently. It's not even close IMO. Switched from the Mac standalone app since it needs to do some proxy/VPN crap on Big Sur to the extension and couldn't be happier. madrigal77 and DinkThifferent.

If I show the usual YouTube page with tiles for videos, the audio of the video cuts in the moment my mouse pointer passes over a video. Maybe a delay of a second?
