Just a recent development. I found out you could find the app on the new computer by going into the Microsoft Store, click the top right three-dot menu button, then click My Library. See if The Weather Channel pops up, I just found it on my end. Let me know the results, good luck.
But there is no Weather Channel app that comes with Windows 10 unless it was installed by your PC manufacturer. I don't even find a Weather Channel app for Windows in the Microsoft Store app to help you install. You can go into the Microsoft Store app in Start Menu, type Weather in it's search box to browse through the apps that are available.
Weather Channel Desktop App will not load or only loads sometimes. Weather Channel Desktop App load when 1st downloaded, but will not load. Tried using compatibility setting 4 Windows XP (Service Pack 2 & the w/ 3) no luck System I am running is Windows 7 (64 bit) If I redownload it works fine 4 about a week and then I have the same problems.
I have already tried clearing the Store browser and the app troubleshooter, uninstalling, reinstalling. It all started with the November Windows 10 update. I see lots of other people have this same problem, it doesn't seem to matter what kind of computer they use. Will the Microsoft techs please come up with a solution as I loved this app.

Hello, I have the latest version of the Microsoft weather app on windows 10 and the location is showing the wrong location when set to detect my location. location is enabled in-app settings, privacy settings, and the icon that shows location is being used on the taskbar is active. Google maps on Microsoft edge can detect the correct location.
To delete a location from weather app, please follow these steps: Open your Weather app. Right-click the Weather app window to get the advanced options. Click the Places icon. If there is only one location, click the + button to add another location on the Weather app. Right-click on the new location to get the app bar and click on Set as default.
