Happy 2024, folks! Please continue the trend and share your data point for United Airlines TravelBank reimbursement when purchased using your Amex Platinum card. I have the following cards and have made the purchase today. I will update this post when the reimbursements come through. 1st Amex Plat - $200. 2nd Amex Plat - $200.
12/29/2021 $97 for Mileage Multiplier on GC. $211.00 on Platinum for Seat Selection on an International flight coming up. Both were credited after midnight 12/31-01/01. Now that I see some are having success getting Cabin Class upgrades as well may try that too with the 2022 Credit(s). Thanks for the info everyone.
Travel Bank: There's a separate thread at this link for general discussion of Travel Bank, including important limitations on its use. As of Jan 3, 2022, and with ongoing success in 2023 as reported below, Travel Bank posts as a Special Service Ticket reimbursed by Amex (but unofficially), or United Electronic Ticketing or United Airlines Houston.

However, it seems that, in the past, when other airline credit "loop holes" were closed (e.g. AA gift cards) it often occurred right at the beginning of a new year. I must say if the ability to purchase UA Travel Bank credits with the airline credit goes away, and given the Amex Platinum cards new annual fee of $695, it will be increasingly ...
As reported by Doctor Of Credit, the Amex Platinum will be getting a $200 Amex Travel credit later this year: This will be valid between August 2020 and December 2021. This will be valid for the personal version of the card only, and only for those who renew their card between April 1, 2020, and December 31, 2020.

Nothing reimbursed so far in 2024 and everything I can think of that they say they reimburse is covered by my 100k status with Alaska etc. Yikes. Sometimes am on AA.

In the Amex Membership Rewards family, both the Consumer and Business versions of the Platinum and Centurion cards qualify for a $200 airline credit. You must click here to select Delta as your enrolled airline before you make a reimbursable purchase, else the benefit won't apply. The feature is activated immediately upon airline designation.
