So, no, downloads definitely do NOT work. Max is the ONLY streaming service I have that insists on using up all my data by streaming rather than playing my downloads. So I'm wasting space on my iPad AND high-speed data on my cellular plan. The only thing I'm NOT wasting is money on Max, as it's included with my cell plan.

Is it possible to download shows for offline viewing? I am pretty good with technology. I have my hbo max through Cricket wireless cell service. So it has ads. I have done quick research to see that it is possible and there are helpful how to do it guides. But my app. And i have clicked on a lot of shows. Has no download button.
Hope everyone is doing well. Old question, but for other people ending up on this question; when you have a Mac with a ARM processor (e.g. M1), you can install the iPad app on your mac, and download items for offline viewing. Sadly not. Downloads are only available on mobile devices.

HBO max needs to step up the video / audio quality . It’s a shame really . Everything nowadays is shot on film or 6/8 k HDR video . HBO max is 1080 or less most of time and occasionally will have a 4K new release . Netflix by comparison has loads of 4K Dolby vision context and it looks awesome
Is there any way to play HBO Max content in 1080p quality? on a windows PC? I tried a few plugins but feels like it's playing 720P or below quality. I'm using Netflix and Disney+ 7 prime Video they are all good. only happen in HBO Max Also used Edge and the Chrome browser to watch. 🧐 😒 Any help to get 1080p in windows PC?
