Hey, I’m new to Plex and was trying it but something is wrong. I have Windows 10 updated (v1709) and Plex Media Server installed version 1.9.4.4325. I see the Plex logo next to the Windows 10 clock but when I click “Open Plex” it doesn’t do anything.
check the windows registry to see if there is an entry for this key. KEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Plex, Inc.\Plex Media Server\LocalAppDataPath. If there is, check that the path it contains is valid and permission right for the account you launch Plex media Server in. If there isn't an entry, look in the windows application event for any plex crashes.
