Yā Sīn[ 2] (also Yaseen; Arabic: يٰسٓ, yāsīn; the letters ' Yā' ' and ' Sīn ') is the 36th chapter of the Quran. It has 83 verses ( āyāt ). It is regarded an earlier "Meccan surah".
