Live Oak is a city in Suwannee County, Florida, named for a live oak tree near a railroad station. It was a major railroad hub and a resort destination in the early 20th century, but now has a population of 6,735.

When Amtrak extended the Sunset Limited to Orlando in 1993 the nearest station with a stop was in Lake City. Today, only the former SAL line survives.
