American Express Green Card, pre-approved I very recently acquired the Amex Green Card after learning I was pre-approved for it. I'm trying to increase my amount of cards and diversify them, and I believe having and using an Amex will be beneficial for my credit scores.
Re: I got a pre-approval for American Express Green. $150 AF to get 3% in rest's, transit, and travel? You'd have to spend $5,000/yr in those 3 categories alone just to break even versus a solid 2% CB card. And that isn't even counting the 2% over the 1% you'd get in 'other' categories.
Re: American Express Blue Cash Preferred card - Opions? I think the BCE is a more usable card as it has the 3% online retail category vs the BCP's Streaming subscriptions and transit. Also its only cash back in the form of a statement credit for both so a big meh to me.
