Boston, MA (Eastie) Aug 23, 2024. #3. For a (2) day visit for a wedding, you should also review the Hampton Jitney North Fork Schedule. They run far more trips to Greenport than the LIRR. Yes, you have to board them from the East Side, but you also can stow. your bags in their baggage bays, and for Greenport their are usually no transfers.
Good on off-peak trains, for children ages 5-11 who are traveling with a fare-paying adult guardian (18 years or older). Up to four children can travel with each adult for .75 cents each way when tickets are purchased in advance; on the train this fare is $1.00. Additional children ride for the applicable child fare.

The MTA now has an app that you can at least purchase the LIRR ticket on, called MTA etix (ios and Android) though you'd still need to get the metrocard seprately either at Penn or Jamaica.
